The 2024 British Rowing Offshore Championships (BROC), due to be held in Jersey between 1 and 2 June, will be rescheduled to the autumn.
British Rowing said the aim was to "give more people the opportunity to race".
"Finding a date to suit all is not easy, but we want to create the best possible racing experience for our entrants," it said in a statement.
Jersey Rowing Club will offer alternative racing for people who had already made plans to travel for the event.
Further information on the BROC would be published shortly, said British Rowing.
All entries made to date would be refunded in full.
