The family of an "inspiring writer" who died after a car crash said she "had so much to give in this world".

Shejuti Pasha, 32, was a passenger in a Toyota Icon which crashed into railings in Newcastle-under-Lyme, last month.

Ms Pasha was taken to hospital after the crash on High Street, Knutton, at about 22:30 BST on 25 September, but died from her injuries, Staffordshire Police said.

A 22-year-old man, from the Newcastle-under-Lyme area, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink-driving. He has been released on conditional bail while inquiries continue.

The driver and a second passenger from the car were not injured in the crash, the force confirmed.

Paying tribute to Ms Pasha, her family described her as "one of the most determined people there ever was".

“Shejuti was pursuing her dream of becoming a famous writer before she passed away," they said in a statement.

"Her smile can brighten up a whole room and her intelligence was a sight to behold. We will all miss her dearly.”
