Man dies after wall collapses in Bristol

Police were called to the scene shortly before 13:00 BST

A man has died after a wall collapsed on Parrys Lane in the Stoke Bishop area of Bristol.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers were called to the scene by ambulance staff just before 13:00 BST.

"The man sadly died while at work and we are therefore liaising with the Health and Safety Executive and together, are carrying out enquiries into the incident," the force said in a statement.

"His next of kin are aware and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time."
