Man dies in serious crash on motorway slip road

All vehicles have been recovered leaving highways staff to carry out emergency repairs and resurfacing works

A man has died following a crash on a motorway exit slip road.
Avon and Somerset Police were called to junction 1 of the M32 for Hambrook in Bristol following a "serious injury collision" between four cars and a van at about 10:00 BST.
"Sadly the driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene," said the force, adding that his next of kin had been contacted.
Two other people were injured and taken to hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A woman who was a passenger in one of the vehicles remains in hospital, and her family have been contacted, said a police spokesperson.
They added that a male driver of another vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment, but was due to be discharged later on Thursday.

Four other people were examined by medics at the scene before going home.
The M32 was initially shut southbound, but it has now re-opened.
The southbound exit slip road at junction 1 remains closed as highways staff carry out repairs and for resurfacing works.
Officers have urged witnesses to come forward.
