Thousands of people have arrived for the first day of Reading Festival.

The event is taking place from Thursday until Sunday, with headliners Travis Scott, Chappell Roan, Hozier and Bring Me the Horizon on the bill.

Other artists confirmed for the line-up are Sammy Virji, Enter Shikari, The Kooks, Bloc Party, Conan Gray, Amyl and The Sniffers, Heartworms, and Wunderhorse.

Last year's festival brought 90,000 people to the town.

Festivalgoers have been travelling to the festival by train, boat, coach and car.

Road closures are in place to facilitate their arrival, the council warned previously.
