A road was closed after a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian.
Suffolk Police and paramedics were called to Sturmer Road on the A143 in Haverhill just after 13:30 BST.
The incident happened near an Esso petrol station and the pedestrian was a man, according to police.
Drivers were warned the road would remain closed for some time while emergency services remained at the scene.
