A 40-year-old man has been arrested after a knifepoint robbery at a shop in Mansfield Woodhouse.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to the Tesco Express in Leeming Lane North at about 17:00 BST on Thursday.
A statement said a man with a knife threatened a shop assistant and forced them to hand over cash, before he grabbed more notes and pushed another worker as he fled the scene.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of robbery and two counts of criminal damage, and remains in custody.
Police are examining CCTV footage from the shop, and also appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Det Sgt Andrew Sansom said: "Incidents of this nature can be distressing for shop staff and those involved will be supported as the investigation progresses."
