A man in a van pulled up alongside a teenage girl and indecently exposed himself to her, police have said.

The 16-year-old girl was walking on Marsland Road in the Hester's Way area of Cheltenham at about 16:20 BST on 10 September when a white Ford Transit van pulled up alongside her.

The male driver, who was alone in the vehicle, asked her why she was walking in the rain, and the girl noticed he was exposing himself.

Gloucestershire Constabulary, which is appealing for information and dashcam footage, said the driver was a white man in his late 30s, with short, dark ginger hair in a side parting and a dark ginger beard.

After the girl told the driver she was not interested, he drove away towards Hester's Way Lane.

Officers have looked through CCTV footage and conducted house-to-house enquiries in an attempt to track down the van and its driver.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the force via its website.
