A further six men have been charged with violent disorder after an incident ahead of a League One football match.

Police said trouble erupted in Station Road and Friar Street in Reading on 12 December 2023, hours before Reading played Oxford United at the SCL Stadium.

The six men were charged by postal requisition between 15 November and 18 November and are due to appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court on 7 January.

Another 13 men were previously charged with violent disorder.

It was the first time the two rival teams had played each other since 2004, with the game ending 1-1.
