A 32-year-old man was hit and killed by a car in Middlesbrough over the weekend.

Cleveland Police said the pedestrian was struck by a blue Audi on the B1365, between Hemlington Grange Way and the Larchfield community centre, at about 07:20 GMT on Saturday.

The man died at the scene, the force said.

It is appealing for information about the crash.
