Magician's straitjacket stolen from outside shop

A magician's straitjacket has been stolen from outside a shop, police who are investigating have said.
The jacket belonged to 62-year-old Malcolm Norton who has been a professional magician since he was 21 and is now the owner of the Top Secret Magic store on Southside Street in Plymouth.
Devon and Cornwall Police, which is appealing for information, said the item was taken at about 16:25 BST on Saturday.
Mr Norton said the straitjacket, which used to be part of his stage show, had been outside the store for the past decade and it was "very sad" to see the front of the premises without it.
“The jacket has been outside whenever I’ve been in the shop for the past 10 years and it’s almost part of the furniture here in the Barbican," he said.
“The front of the shop looks bare now because it’s not there, it’s very sad.
“I hope it will be found, but I’m not sure I’ll ever see it again to be honest.”
