Emergency services were called out to reports of an altercation in Monks Park Road, Wembley on Tuesday evening. Shazad Khan, 41, was treated for stab wounds but he died at the scene.
On Thursday, Zaher Zaarour, 26, of North Circular Road, Brent, was charged with murder and possession of a bladed weapon.

He is then due to appear at the same court on 19 September to enter a plea.
Local residents previously said Mr Khan was well known in the area for selling ice creams in a van. One said he was married and had a young daughter.
Earlier, Det Ch Insp Paul Waller of the Met Police said: "I would like to thank the community for their help and support during this investigation.
"Residents can expect to see an increase of officers in the local area over the next coming days as the investigation continues."
