McDonald's assault victim urged to come forward

Police say they are urgently appealing for the victim of an assault to come forward after a man was arrested on suspicion of the offence.

Wiltshire Police were called to reports of a man assaulting a woman McDonald's in Greenbridge Retail Park at about 16:00 BST on Friday, a spokesperson said.

The man, aged 32, fled the scene but was found and arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and taken into custody.

The female victim left the scene before officers arrived, police said.

"We are appealing for the victim to come forward as soon as possible to allow us to progress the investigation," a police spokesperson said.
