A motorway has reopened after three people were taken to hospital due to a crash.

National Highways confirmed the M49 - between the junction 18 of the M5 and junction 22 of the M4 - reopened overnight in both directions on Saturday.

Avon and Somerset Police said the serious collision involved two lorries and a car, and emergency services were called at about 16:00 BST on Friday.

Officers have asked anyone with information or dashcam footage to get in touch.
