The woman suffered suspected life-threating injuries in the crash

A woman has suffered serious injuries after she was struck by a van in Huddersfield.

The crash took place on Bradford Road, close to the junction with Eleanor Street, at about 23:55 GMT on 11 November, West Yorkshire Police said.

The pedestrian, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening, a force spokesperson confirmed.

They said the driver of the van had spoken to officers. Police appealed for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, to get in touch.
