Several masked people have raided a cash machine at a branch of Santander and taken money from it.

West Midlands Police believe the gang used cutting equipment at the bank in Stourbridge High Street before getting away in a black Audi, just before 03:00 BST on Wednesday.

A Santander spokeswoman said the branch was temporarily closed for investigation, but it later reopened.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact them.

The company spokeswoman said: "We are working closely with police to ensure that our staff and our customers are safe."

The bank remained open for an extra hour on Wednesday to ensure minimum disruption, she added.
