Four people have been arrested after police raids on properties linked to anti-social behaviour.

Avon and Somerset Police said more than 50 officers were involved in executing search warrants at two properties in Fairfax Road and Westonzoyland Road in Bridgwater, Somerset.

Three people were arrested at the Fairfax Road property during the raid which began shortly after 06:00 BST on Friday.

"So far, four people have been arrested from the addresses in Bridgwater. We want to assure people that anti-social behaviour is something that we are taking seriously," said Sgt Craig Davies.

Sgt Davies said it had taken months to prepare for the operation.

He added: "Today's operation has targeted a number of addresses in Bridgwater, Glastonbury and in Devon.

"Certainly, this sort of operation – targeting properties that really impact local communities – is something that we are looking to take robust action on."
