Overturned tractor causing A14 delays

There are delays on the A14 after a tractor overturned causing the closure of the eastbound carriageway.

Emergency services were called to the eastbound carriageway at about 08:10 BST after a crash involving a tractor and a car at Newmarket.

Suffolk Police said the tractor collided with the central reservation and overturned.

As a result, the eastbound carriageway was expected to remain closed for some time as tractor fuel has leaked onto the road.

Ambulance crews and National Highways, external are dealing with the incident between junctions 38 and 40.

Police said there had been no reports of serious injuries.

Motorists have been advised to find alternative routes.
