A man has been seriously injured in a collision in Leeds.

It happened on the eastbound carriageway of the A6120 Ring Road in Moortown, before the King Lane roundabout, at about 15:50 BST on Thursday, police said.

The collision involved a black Ford Fiesta and a black BMW 420D, both being driven at "low speed", according to officers.

The driver of the Ford Fiesta, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital in a serious condition, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.

Anyone who saw what happened, or who had dash cam footage from the scene, was asked to contact the force to help officers with their investigation.
