Man, 72, seriously hurt in playground attack

A 72-year-old man suffered serious facial injuries in an "unprovoked attack" in a playground in the Scottish Borders.
Police said he was assaulted by a group of youths - aged between 13 and 16 - wearing black hoodies.
The incident happened at about 19:00 on Saturday in a playground at the end of Hall Street in Innerleithen.
Police have been carrying out door-to-door inquiries and examining CCTV footage to try to identify those involved.
Det Sgt Jamie Gilmore said: "The park was busy and we are asking anyone in the area at the time to come forward to help us with our inquiries."
