Motorists have been warned to expect disruption along a road on the western coast of the Isle of Man for two weeks while refurbishment of the pavement is carried out.

Works on a section of the A4 Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road have seen the introduction of temporary speed limits on the usually derestricted stretch of road.

The Department of Infrastructure has also introduced temporary traffic lights at the junction of the Switchback Road, which is also undergoing works.

The restrictions will be in force 24 hours a day until the completion of the works are due to be completed 5 July.

The scheme will see kerb and footpath surface repairs and follows recent work to improve surface water drainage in and around the junction with the Switchback Road.
