Boy, 14, held on suspicion of arson over bus blaze

A 14-year-boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a bus was set alight in a bus station.

The blaze broke out at Burnley bus station in Croft Street at about 23:00 BST on Monday and left the vehicle badly damaged, Lancashire Police said.

The force said the boy was being held on suspicion of causing criminal damage and arson endangering life.

Fire crews from Burnley, Nelson, Padiham, Great Harwood and Hyndburn attended and spent three hours using putting out the flames.
