Dozens of roads are to be closed on Sunday for the annual Hull 10K race.

Almost 80 streets will be shut when runners take to the city centre and Victoria Dock.

Parking will be suspended on a number of routes, race organiser Run For All said.

The closures will be in place from 05:00 BST, with roads reopening between 10:30 and 15:00.

Organisers said: "We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your support of the 2024 Hull 10k."

The majority of road closures will be in the city centre, to the south of Freetown Way and east of Ferensway.

However, a number of routes in east Hull will also be closed, including a section of Great Union Street, Citadel Way and South Bridge Road, as runners make their way around Victoria Dock.

Thousands of runners are expected to take part in the annual event, which is held in memory of Jane Tomlinson CBE.

She raised almost £2m for charity by taking part in endurance events around the world before her death from cancer in 2007.

The majority of roads are due to reopen by 12:00. A full list of closures and times can be found on the Hull 10K website, external.
