Mr Marley is performing at The Margate Reggae Festival at Dreamland on Saturday.
He said: "We cannot wait to reach Margate. It's a great feeling to be able to come into our zone where we grew [up], where we lived, England.
"It's great to come and bring this message and this music to Margate."

Bob Marley is known for hits including Three Little Birds and Could You Be Loved
Mr Marley, who won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in February, said festival goers were in for a "surprise of music and a surprise of energy".
