Hundreds of pupils were advised to stay home from a Coventry school on Wednesday after police were called in to investigate a malicious communication.
Police confirmed they were called to Foxford Community School on Grange Road just after 07:30 BST.
The school, which has about 1,200 students, said it implemented remote learning, following advice.
It is expected to reopen as normal on Thursday.
A spokesperson said: "The school was closed to students and staff, in the interest of staff and student safety."
