A Post Office that was forced to closed after it was severely damaged during Storm Babet is to reopen later.

The Framlingham branch at Riverside was shut for seven months while repairs were carried out.

Since November it has operated out of Bulstrodes in Bridge Street.

The Post Office praised the community for finding "the best location" for the temporary move.

Wendy Hamilton, Post Office network provision lead, said: "The community really rallied around.

"A big thank you to Bulstrodes department store for providing space for two Post Office counters for the past six months."

Other locations were offered including a solicitor's and a charity.

Roger Tripp will be pleased to be back in his usual location

Postmaster Roger Tripp previously said the flood water rose to 2ft (60cm) in the building when the River Ore burst its banks on 20 October leaving the branch ''destroyed".

"You could see all the wooden flooring and the wood on the walls was buckling and mould was growing," he said.
