Boy, 15, badly hurt in e-scooter crash with car

The crash between an e-scooter and an Audi was on Bryngwyn Road, Newport

A 15-year-old boy riding an e-scooter has been seriously injured after a crash with a car.

The collision involving a black Audi Q2 was on Bryngwyn Road, Newport at about 11:00 GMT on Monday.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Gwent Police said another teenager believed to be riding with him left the scene before police officers arrived.

Officers said they want to speak to the second teenager "to ensure he is safe and well", and are also asking any witnesses to contact them.
