Student flat plan for Glasgow's former Archaos nightclub

Proposals to turn Glasgow's former Archaos nightclub into student accommodation have been recommended for approval by city planners
The three-floor dance music venue rose to popularity in the late 90s, before closing its doors in 2007.
Developers want to build a 14-storey accommodation block with 195 beds, a cinema, gym and games lounge.
The property on Queen Street has been vacant since 2010 after its owners went into liquidation. The plans will be discussed by the council on Tuesday.
Developers Carrick Properties and CA Ventures, said the development would bring "positive, high quality regeneration to a largely vacant site".
The ground floor was let for a short period in 2017, but the building has largely remained vacant and "fallen into a state of disrepair", they said.
The original façade of the 19th century building would be maintained with the building expanded to 14 storeys.
The Architectural Heritage Society Scotland objected to the size of the development, claiming the height would overshadow neighbouring buildings.
But Glasgow City Council heard analysis by developers has satisfied the scale of the proposal is appropriate for the site and the impact on surrounding buildings would be "minimal".
If approved, the development would be managed by Novel Student who operate CA Ventures' student accommodation across the UK and Europe.
