Jersey property sales at historic 22-year low
- Published
At the beginning of 2024, the fewest number of properties were sold in Jersey for 22 years.
A new housing report published by Statistics Jersey, found the overall market has been at an historic low.
The report compared the housing market in the first three months of this year, with the same time last year.
It showed the number of properties sold at the start of the year was 55% lower than in 2023.
That is the lowest number of homes exchanged since 2002.
The report also shows that the price of a two bedroom house did not change, but all other types of property fell in price compared with last year.
