Drugs with a potential street value of £500,000 have been found in a disused town centre building in Dumfries.

The cannabis crop was uncovered at a property on the town's English Street on Tuesday morning.

Det Insp Graeme Robertson said investigations into the incident were ongoing.

He asked anyone with information which could help with their inquiries to come forward, external "as soon as possible".
