New timescales given for delayed hospital projects

NHS Grampian has said it expects the long-delayed Anchor cancer treatment hospital in Aberdeen to open later this year.
However, the city's new Baird family hospital, which is also several years overdue, is now not expected to open until the summer of 2025.
The Baird and Anchor hospitals were originally due to open in 2020, and are already more than £100m over budget.
In a report to the NHS Grampian board, chief executive Adam Coldwells said talks were continuing with contractors and the Scottish government on delivering design changes needed to the drainage and ventilation systems of both hospitals.
No new costings have been revealed.
