A former flour mill is set to be converted into flats after planning permission was granted.

Developers Lioncross Properties want to turn the 19th Century Whitworth Mill building and surrounding land at Fletton Quays in Peterborough into commercial buildings and flats.

They said this would be "a beneficial use for the mill building, which is presently empty and in a state of disrepair".

Peterborough City Council has now approved the plans, which include 18 flats above commercial units in the mill, and a further 44 flats in three blocks along the river edge.
