A man has admitted owning an XL Bully dog that attacked an 11-year-old girl and two men.

Farhat Ajaz, 61, pleaded guilty to three charges of owning a dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control following an incident in Bordesley Green, Birmingham on 9 September last year.

A girl suffered shoulder and arm injuries in the attack by the dog, named Tyson, while two men were also injured after the dog allegedly broke free from its collar twice.

Ajaz, of Bordesley Close, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court earlier.

The court heard Ajaz does not object to the dog being destroyed.

He is due to return to court on 23 May for sentencing.
