Police described the man's injuries as life changing

A man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his stomach following an attack.

The victim in his 20s was seriously injured on Fentham Road in Erdington, Birmingham, at about 20:30 BST on Sunday, West Midlands Police confirmed.

The force also said the man was understood to have been trapped between a car and a wall.

A police spokesperson described his injuries as “life changing” and said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.

A cordon was set up in the area on Sunday night but it has since been removed.
