Police closed off St Leonard's Street on Saturday morning

A man has been arrested after several flats were evacuated in Edinburgh.

Armed police responded to reports of a disturbance at a block on St Leonard's Street at about 09:00 on Saturday.

A 38-year-old woman and a baby were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

Police Scotland said a 46-year-old man had been arrested in connection with causing a disturbance and inquiries were ongoing.
