Door-to-door sales scammers are visiting households across Derbyshire, police have warned.
Officers said residents have been targeted in Codnor, Draycott and Sandiacre but police fear many more cases have gone unreported.
Rogue sellers visit to sell cleaning goods but then "vastly overcharge".
PC Peter Herrett from Derbyshire Police's Fraud Unit said a cross-county operation was being carried out "targeting the activities of these criminals to bring them to justice and prevent future victims".
He asked people to share the warning with elderly and vulnerable residents and urged anyone not to open the door to unexpected visitors or engage with anyone attempting to sell goods on the doorstep.
