Two men were arrested after a drone was flown over a prison and contraband seized from a car, police said.
Officers were called to a report of a drone over HMP Long Lartin, in South Littleton, near Evesham, Worcestershire, at about 21:30 BST on Sunday.
Following a short pursuit, a car was stopped on the A46, near Simon de Montfort Bridge, where a drone battery and cannabis were found inside the vehicle, West Mercia Police said.
The arrested pair, aged 25 and 28, were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to convey prohibited items into a prison, the force added.
Officers said a drone and other items were also discovered after a further search with a dog unit in the nearby area.
Det Ch Insp James Bamber said the force currently had two people in custody after officers intercepted a suspect vehicle linked to the drone sighting.
"Contraband believed to be intended for behind the prison walls was seized from the car along with a drone," he added.
"We are continuing in our efforts to detect and disrupt drone activity over the prison, and build a greater intelligence picture to ultimately dismantle the organised crime groups behind the operations."
