A 52-year-old motorcylist has sustained potentially life-changing injuries in a collision with a car.

Police said the man was travelling on the B3301 in Cornwall at about 08:10 BST on Saturday at the time of the crash.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses. They said the injured man, who is local to the area, was riding a Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 motorcycle on Griggs Hill in Hayle, and the car was a black BMW.

The driver was unharmed. Police, fire, ambulance and air ambulance attended the scene, and the road was closed for a time for an investigation.
