Arrest at Gatwick in people smuggling investigation

A man has been arrested at Gatwick Airport as part of a national investigation into people smuggling.
The 22-year-old was detained by officers from the National Crime Agency, which is investigating the smuggling of Albanians into the UK across the English Channel and in HGVs.
The man, who is Albanian, was arrested on Thursday morning.
Branch Commander Sara-Jayne Moore said: "The NCA will leave no stone unturned, at every step of the people smuggling route, in our work to tackle the perpetrators of organised immigration crime."
