Man charged after car driven 'wrong way' up road

Police said the driver was stopped in the early hours of Thursday morning

A man has been charged after a car was driven the wrong way along Maid Marian Way in Nottingham, police have said.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers stopped the car shortly before 03:00 BST on Thursday after seeing it being driven on the road contraflow.
The driver was asked to supply a sample of breath but failed to do so and was arrested, the force said.
Police said Ahmad Khalid, 33, of Abbotsford Drive, St Ann's, Nottingham, has been charged with driving whilst unfit through drink, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and failing to cooperate with a preliminary test.
Mr Khalid was granted bail and is due to appear before Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 19 August.
