Arrest after woman put in chokehold outside takeaway

A man put a woman in a chokehold after a fight broke out near a takeaway, police have said.

Two men reportedly approached a man and a woman outside Pepe’s Piri Piri on Cheltenham High Street, Gloucestershire, at about 1:00 BST on 29 May.

A man in his 40s suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder after being punched and kicked during incident. He was later treated in hospital.

A man in his 20s was arrested for causing actual bodily harm and has since been bailed pending further enquires. Officers are looking for another man who was captured on CCTV.
