Two people have been injured in a dog attack in Nottinghamshire.

Police were called to a property in Maple Leaf Gardens, Worksop, at 17:46 BST on Thursday.

An XL bully-type dog was found inside alongside a man who had suffered "significant" but not life-threatening injuries, and a woman with injuries to her arm, Nottinghamshire Police said.

A cordon was put in place while attempts were made to control the dog in the back garden.

The public were asked to avoid the area while the incident was being resolved.
