Radio presenters in Jersey have completed the three-legged walk, raising funds for Children in Need (CIN).

BBC radio presenters across the UK and Channel Islands braved all weathers to attempt to walk a combined 1,000 miles in two days.

On Wednesday morning, breakfast presenter Jenny Mullin crossed the finish line at FB Fields, thanking the public for their "incredible support."

"I've done it - I've crossed the finish line", she said.

Each BBC radio station has been attempting a total of 25 miles per station on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Jenny continued: "My legs are sore, but the support along the way, and fun we've had, I have absolutely loved it."

She had advice ahead of the walk from athlete Dame Kelly Holmes.

She said: "If you're going to get advice, it's best to get it from a double Olympic medallist, I think.

"The support from Dame Kelly Holmes – on the island to speak at a conference – was excellent.

"I've had some great guests, people who are big parts of our communities.

"We've just powered through and kept going."

BBC Radio Jersey presenter Alison Moss also crossed the finish line at about 14:30 GMT after setting off late on Wednesday morning.

She was joined by producer Frankie Golding for the final stretch of the walk from La Roque to Elizabeth Castle.

She said: "Over the last two days we have done eight hours of live radio shows - walking, talking and three-legged, that's pretty epic!

"It's been really tricky... all of the weather elements coming together, I feel like I've been doing a strictly dance routine.

"It's been so much fun and we've met brilliant people along the way. We thank everyone for their support.

"I'm going to put my feet up and have a really big cup of tea."
