People are being asked to nominate a person or a group to turn on a town's Christmas lights.
Falmouth Town Council said every year a local individual, community group or organisation was nominated to switch on the Christmas lights.
It is an opportunity to honour those who have made positive impact on the town whether it was a volunteer who has gone "above and beyond", a young person who has inspired others or an unsung hero.
Falmouth town manager Richard Gates said since the event began there had been a variety of "quality" nominees of all ages.
'Celebration of community'
He said a postwoman has switched on the lights and young people who have raised lots of money for charity.
"We've had a whole spectrum of people and groups," said Mr Gates.
"We like to vary it in terms of what people have done... it gives identity to switching on the lights and is a bit of a thank you."
Falmouth BID manager, Keren Cooksey added: "It's a real celebration of community spirit and provides an opportunity to recognise those who contribute so much to our amazing town."
People can nominate an individual or a group via this form, external which closes on 19 November at midday.
