A teenager who stabbed another in a supermarket car park has been jailed.

Caleb Wilkinson was among a group who attacked the 17-year-old on Bath Lane in Stockton in June 2024 with a flick knife and a knuckleduster.

The 18-year-old, of Adderley Street in the town, admitted wounding with intent and possession of a knife.

Appearing at Teesside Crown Court he was jailed for five and a half years.

The court heard that the victim suffered facial injuries requiring urgent surgery.

His mobile phone was also stolen during the incident.

Wilkinson evaded police until July 2024 when he was arrested.
