A police officer has appeared in court charged with sexual assault.
Alex Trusler, of Burntwood, Staffordshire, has been accused of nine counts of sexually assaulting a woman, which were alleged to have happened in 2022 and 2023.
The 35-year-old was suspended from Staffordshire Police in September 2023 when the allegations were reported and the charges followed an investigation by the force's professional standards department, a spokesperson said.
Mr Trusler appeared at Cannock Magistrates' Court on Friday and is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 13 June.
