A man has been charged with murder after another man died following a stabbing outside his home.

David Dosa, 53, of Farley Court, Luton, was pronounced dead at the scene, after Bedfordshire Police officers were called to the Farley Hill area at about 14:15 BST on 15 August.

Yasar Hussain, 27, of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, was charged with murder and with possession of a bladed article on Wednesday, following an arrest on Tuesday.

He appeared at Luton Magistrates' Court on Thursday where no pleas were entered, he was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Luton Crown Court on Tuesday.

Det Ch Insp Nick Gardner from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire major crime unit, described it as "a significant step in our investigation into the tragic death of David last week".

He added: “This is clearly a traumatic time for his family and friends. Our thoughts are with them at this time and our specialist officers are supporting them."
