Child in swimming pool injured by falling tiles

A child and an adult were injured when a number of tiles fell onto them while they were swimming, a leisure centre has said.
The incident happened at Romsey Rapids Sports Complex in Hampshire on 13 August.
Tiles fell from the bridge above one of the sections of the pool, causing minor injuries to the pair, according to Places Leisure.
The centre's operator apologised and said the safety of customers and staff was its top priority.
A Places Leisure spokesperson said the child and the adult were seen immediately by first-aid trained staff at the complex.
“The pool was closed for approximately one hour whilst the tiles were removed and the remaining tiles thoroughly checked," they said.
"The pool was then reopened, with the area around the bridge remaining closed as a precaution. The whole pool was then reopened on the 14th of August.”
