Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal road collision in which a pedestrian was hit twice - once by a tow truck and then by a car.

Safia Ali, who was in her 50s, was walking along Brixton Road near the junction with Handforth Road on 1 October when she was struck. The tow truck did not stop.

Ms Ali was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. A man arrested for failing to stop at the scene of an accident and causing death by dangerous driving has been released on police bail.

Anybody with information or dash cam footage is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police.
