Man arrested after stabbing in Exeter

Two men have been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Exeter, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to Durham Close at about 05:30GMT on Thursday after reports of two men involved in an altercation at an address.

The force said both men suffered suspected stab wounds and a scene guard was put in place.

It said a 62-year old man from Exeter had been arrested on suspicion of section 18 GBH and "remains with police at this time".

Inquiries are ongoing and "there is no wider threat to the public as a result of this incident", it added.

Police have asked anybody with information to get in touch.
